Excellent website! I will look forward to seeing
more as information is added. A '62 classmate informed several of us about this site. Thanks for creating this.
I'm so
happy that this website has been set up for Tiger
alumni. Hope you get lots of participation.A classmate emailed a lot of us about it, and we're excited to see it grow.
How did you hear
about the Tiger website? from Jeff Hunter, class of '62.
I suggest you contact Mike Fooks, class of '56, and ask to use his aging tiger artwork from their last reunion. It is outstanding.
Thanks for
the website. I'm retired in the Dallas area for
the time being. We're planning to move closer to
our daughter soon to help her with the soon to be born
twin boys to go along with three granddaughters already
here!
Thanks for
organizing this. I thought you might be interested in
what I am doing at the moment...I am an urban
Planner/designer "embedded" in the nerve center of the
hurricane relief center in Baton Rouge. I am a working
in the Joint Housing Solutions Center and would welcome
any support from your vast network. I am attempting to
match people that know a lot -- in the world -- with
people who are receptive to that knowledge -- the people
trying to deal with the challenges at hand in this
massive building with over 3,000 people working away.
The 'here and now' folks are in full gear, and those of
us focused on the future must be 'here' also. Please
pass along this to anyone interested. I shall be in
Baton Rouge until at least mid to late November. My

I live in
Euless. We have had a couple of Dallas area Tiger
'mini' 1967 reunions - would like to see more of them
even including other graduating classes from THS.
I live in
Baraboo WI and am employed by the state. I have a
wonderful husband, one son and he has 4 children.
My mailing address in 904 Moore St. Lot #485, Baraboo
WI 53913. I'm glad that we now have our own web
site. I think it's great!!!
This is a
great effort to get this web site up and running. It's terrific to have all this information.I just
retired from 23 years working for DOD in the DC area.We moved back to Texarkana in July and are building a
new home.Hope to see the 67 Tigers soon.
I live and
teach in Bloomburg, Texas, near Atlanta. The most interesting thing about me lately is that in 2002 I went to Katmandu, Nepal and adopted a 3 year old daughter. Her name is Lissom and she's my only child. She's now 6 and I'm 56, but we're a team!
I wouldn't
have even known about this site if my daughter, Kim
Monte Sharpe hadn't e-mailed me with this info. She is
also a graduate of THS. I was so excited to see if some of my old class mates of 63' had submitted any info, but I guess I was the only one that went to school that year because I didn't find any 63'entries. :) When I lived in Texarkana, my home was flooded & I lost my 3 yearbooks from the 3 years at THS. It was always so nice to look back & read what your friends thought of you, how cute & sweet you were. Wow, those were the days!! This web site is so awesome! I can't wait to see it grow & see if some of my old teachers & friends pictures show up. Keep up this great project, because some of us old timers like to reminisce about the old times & how cute & sweet we use to be. :)
I am so
glad that we finally have a website. We are in the
process of planning our 45th class reunion and perhaps
we will be able to contact some of our "lost" classmates
through this forum. Thanks for putting it together.
This is
great! I have never joined the other 'classmates
websites', but I've always wanted to find some old
friends. Thank you whoever you are, for this wonderful
site!
I was born
in Texarkana, but my Dad was in the Air Force and we
moved around all over the country. He was sent to Viet
Nam the summer before my senior year and my parents
decided that we should spend that year in Texarkana near my Grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Covington. I was lucky, I had two cousins my age attending Texas High. I enjoyed my year at Texas High and have many fond memories of the friends I made during that time. Go Tigers!!!
Throck, I have been a visitor to your website many times. It just keeps getting better and better. THANK YOU for all your hard work. I read in the reunion section that a group of alumni are planning a cruise, Sept 9, 2006. This sounds wonderful. I hope to get my classmates to join in. Our group of girlfriends are called the "Skeeter Bees". We got our name from the cheer-- Bo Bo Squattin Dottin, Ay be dettin doe, Skeeter Bee Skeeter Bo, Hey Tigers Let's Go, El rancho, poncho, de le ano, Skeeter Back Junior, Hey Babe. I talked with the inventor (Don Crisp) and he said the cheerleaders wanted a new cheer. This is what he came up with. It's changed over the years and he said it didn't mean anything.Hope it brings back fond memories. I lived in the Dallas area and would love a mini reunion. I have the place and my husband is a great dj if someone has the time to plan and get the word out. THANKS AGAIN.
I am a
proud THS graduate " Class of 1968 ", the first class from the High School on Kennedy and Summerhill rd. I love the old Bldg on Pine St and I hope they will refurbish it, instead of tearing it down, as they have done other historical bldgs. I graduated with the Honorable Judge Josh Morriss lll , with David James ,Dr. Cordell Klein, Charles Morgan, Tommy Raffaelli and many other outstanding citizens of the area. THS has produced many leaders of this area. Lets keep the future vision bright for more leaders to come from THS. Thanks ,to the "Outstanding Faculty members", past to present. Thanks, for the ones who put this web site together it is awesome . It brings back allot of memories good and bad . God Bless all THS graduates and faculty. Martha Brewer Collom
So good!!!
I love it and I want some more of it. I am so
thrilled to see many of my classmates responding.
I have lived in Austin since 1970 and miss the TIGERS so
much. I have wondered about Dora Starkey for years and
see that she is doing fine, alive and kicking, she was
such a fine person, refreshingly sweet & exceedingly
genuine. I hope to attend the next 1967 event.
Oh, I have a son and daughter and one PERFECTLY
delicious granddaughter, EverLee Bella. "HERE WE ARE STRAIGHT FROM HEAVEN YEA SENIORS '67"!!!
Great Idea.....married Jerry Davis ('63)- 38 years ago....three kids...Jeff's career military...just got back from Iraq...daughters Kristen & Kate are both teachers....two grandchildren....let me hear from classmates!
What a
delight to see so many names of so many fine people -
wow, what wonderful memories those bring back.
Hope you are all well - Blessings, Marieta and Fred
I didn’t
graduate from THS but I did attend school on the Texas side of town, I attended Grim Elementary, Texas Ave. Jr. High, and my sophomore year at good ‘ol THS. I then moved across town and finished my Jr. and Sr. year at AHS. I joined the Air Force in 1963 and retired in 1990. My wife, the former DeAnn Strickland of Texarkana TX (class of ’63), and I settled in Panama City, FL. I am currently employed with a Government Contractor at Tyndall AFB. DeAnn’s brother, Stan Strickland is also living here. DeAnn and I have two lovely daughters and 4 ¾ grand kids. The fifth is due in March ‘06. I would really like to hear from any of you that might remember me.
retired,
February 15, 2004, after 38 years of railroading.
Jo, my wife of 41 years, and I left the rat race of fort
worth and moved to cooper, Texas (pop 2150), off the
beaten path and not on the way to any where. we
have a son and a daughter and 5 grand children (ages
from 13 to 1). this is a great web site
I'm not a
Tiger but I am doing genealogy research for my uncle
Frank who is the son of B. B. Lawson, Texas High
School principal from 1925 thru 1955.
Congratulations on an interesting and informing site !
I have
been married to Ed Compton, class of 62, for 40 years.
We are ranching in Albany, Texas. The Lord has blessed us with two daughter, their husbands, and three grandsons.
I love
this website. Now I can finally keep up with my school
chums. I have grandchildren in Texas High now. Boy how
time flies. I love all you out there!!!
Great
website, twin brother Gary and I attended Texas High
through the 11th grade and graduated from L-E.
Sister, Carol (Morgan) Willige graduated 1960
I am
helping with the "66 class reunion and this site may be
the answer to our prayers. It is so hard to keep up with
everyone. Thank you for this website. I retired in 2003
from Social Security Adm and have 4 grandchildren. Getting older isn't so bad. Married Ralph Haraway class of '66 so reunions are fun.
What a tigerrific website! It's great to read comments from classmates and childhood neighbors. We've had class reunions every 5 years since our 10th, but it's always a chore finding everyone. This website should be a great tool when planning our next one. Thanks for your hard work.
This is
fun, catching up on everyone. Good job on the
website. I married Jeff White in 2000, after having
lived in Nacogdoches for 22 years. We are in
Frisco, Tx. Have 3 wonderful children. Still nursing at Presbyterian Hospital of Plano. Life is good!
I am
living in the Houston area. Happily married with 7
grandchildren. The THS group that lives in this area keep up with each other and love to get together. Keeps us grounded. Good job on the website.
Thanks for
this great website! THS Class of 1965 please continue to help us maintain our mailing list by sending your classmate email and postal address updates to THSclass65@prodigy.net ~ Go Tigers!
Good to
see the site. Happy to see so many of my class are doing
well. Debby (class of 65) and I live in
Burleson, TX. We have 3 sons and 4 g-sons. Thanks for the efforts on the Tiger site.
Great
Website! Thanks so much. We as THS alumni need to spread the word about the site. For all 1967 graduates we are having our 40th reunion Sept. 22, 2007. Please have classmates contact me.
I think your web site is
really cool. I am now living in Northern Calif. and
looking forward to my 50th reunion someday. Do you know
how to get any old high school rings or what my year
looked like?
Looking for classmates from the Class of 1968. 40th
reunion is upon us in 2008. Please contact me if you
have any information regarding anyone from our class.
Thanks loads!!! Keep this web site going, it's great.
I have lots of fond memories of so many of you in the
Class of '68 and surrounding years. This website
provides a great opportunity for us to reconnect and
keep in touch. Thank you to everyone who had a hand in
creating it as well as everybody who has contributed to
it.
Donnie and I still live in Texarkana. Most of our
extended family still live here also, and we enjoy all
of our nephews and nieces as much as our own children.
We have had a great time reading about all of our
classmates!
What a great website! Gale and I just learned about it
through an email from Bo Telford and Danny Palmer. I
have been married to Gale Huckabee, a 1965 graduate, for 41 years. We are the parents of 2 boys and 1 girl and the PROUD grandparents of a 5 year old boy.
Please note that Linda (maiden name Powell) O'Brien passed away in June 2007.
She was a member of '65 class. Thank you so much for keeping this record for
all of us.
It's such a shame I didn't get to know all my classmates
as I moved here in 1968 and only went to Texas High for
about 4 months. Went to our 30th reunion and had a
ball...I look forward to our 40th!
Have just had time to
really look at the website and it is
great!! Thanks for putting this
together. Attended the 45 reunion and
had a great time. Also, thanks to Beau
for posting the pics in the photo album.
Looking forward to keeping in touch and
looking forward to 50th reunion in 5

The 40th reunion was the best! Thanks to the committee you did an outstanding job. "Rock" you ARE the TIGER spirit, awesome work and dedication. New email address posted for me.
Stumbled across the website by accident.... and loved it. Thanks for the efforts and hard work. What touched me the most was the "In Memoriam" link. It was hard to believe the names on that list.... People I had lost touch with over the last 40 or so years, but assumed were alive and well. Kind of puts things in perspective. My best friend at THS was on that list. His family moved and I hadn't heard from him since graduation. It's sad to know he left the world too soon. I had the honor of installing some of the audio / video equipment in the new Texas High Science and Multi purpose buildings this year...... and for the new Morris School. (And they are ALL facilities to be VERY proud of if you haven't seen them from the inside. Yet I still drive down Pine Street sometimes and look at the old Science and Library building with fond memories.... and look at the old auditorium...... and remember how scared I was the first time I visited it for freshman orientation. Ahhh Memories.
Hello to my classmates of 1967. Here's wishing you a Happy and Wonderful 2008! I've lived in Live Oak, Texas, a suburb of San Antonio since 1983. I would love to hear from any of my Grim Elem. classmates. GO TIGERS!
While doing office cleaning, I found a picture (which I scanned) of the 1960 graduating class at Texas High. Perhaps you can post it on your website. Also attached is a class picture from our 45th class reunion, held in 2005. Perhaps you can post it also.
Just found the THS alumni website. Looking forward to contacting old classmates from the class of '69! It looks great, and it's good to see that there are still some of us "old tigers" out there
I'm thinking about attending the reunion October 2008. Been too many years!Has anyone heard from Debbie Rogers (Watson)? I live in Grapevine, TX. Email me.
I'm so glad to find this website. I have never made it to a reunion because I was usually out of the country when one was held. I'd love to hear from anyone and catch up on news. Anyone in the Atlanta area??? Susan
Would like to know of anyone who served in Viet Nam 1969. If possible we need to know if any of our classmates were casualties in this War. Maybe a category for Military Service? Great web-site and thanks for the effort and hard work.
Just got the link from my cousin (1955 grad). Great website! Would love to open the yearbooks. Wonderful memories from THS. Really enjoyed browsing around.
I just found out about this site. It is really great to be able to contact so many old friends. I hope you keep it going for a long time and that everyone supports it.
I was looking for the reunion information and saw this website.I have been married 44 years and have 2 children, 4 grandchildren, and 3 great granddaughters.I am hoping to see everyone this year.
